We've made a lot of progress on the bug list, and for the ones not 
crossed off yet, there are solutions being actively worked for many of 
them.  I think we can hold open the bug fixing window until Monday for 
these pending checkins.  We still are aiming for an initial release 
candidate later on Monday.  After that time, we'll list open issues (for 
which we'll still accept a patch next week) on the wiki, and all 
checkins will need to go through Josh.

Recall that we merged the energy model to src/contrib for this release. 
  There is some discussion between the maintainers of this model and 
Andrea about trying to line this API up better for the UAN GSOC project 
that is nearing completion:

We are also reviewing the above patch or determining whether it should 
wait until post-release; if anyone has opinions on this, please let us know.
