I'm quite at the end of the implementation phase of the project. I'm
currently coding a Li-Ion battery model. Regarding that, I've found a little
bit restrictive the interface purposed from the energy layer authors. In
particular the DecreaseEnergy method only take as parameter the Joule to
decrement from the total energy stored in the battery. This can be useful
for "basic" battery model but, implementing the Li-Ion model, I've found the
information given to the model are too few. So I've modified the interface
of the model putting into the DecreaseEnergy methods not the Joule value but
the duration plus power values.
This doesn't change anything into the functioning of the model but give some
more information instead that compressing them into a "laconic" Joule value.
At the end of the day I should be done with the model modification and I
will upload the modification to the codereview project.
Moreover, I'm finishing the examples for the UAN Framework, ultimating a
comprehensive example where a seaglider AUV submerge to 1000m an then emerge
up to the surface and, during the travel, it will sends generic aloha
packets to a surface gateway station. This will give an overall idea of
everything, the new mobility model, the energy consumption management, the
energy source, etc.
When I'm done with the code, I will create a new codereview issue containing
*all* the UAN Framework modifications.
