[Ns-developers] Node and Application modules in ns-3

Hi,

I read the ns-3 tutorial on the modules and I'm unclear on the following:

1. What the application module does exactly?
2. What is the difference between Node and Application modules? Say for a
p2p application, whether it would be suitable to implement it in Application
module.
3. What are the norms to be followed while contributing code, if a code has
different layers say routing and applications, the corresponding code must
fit into the respective modules?
