I merged the ns-3-ip-routing repo, which previously had merged Mathieu's 
ns-3-ip-loopback and Faker's bug 557 changes.  All of the tests pass for 
me on two systems.  I will try to finish this off as follows tomorrow:
1) close out bugs that are now fixed; add bugs to track the remaining 
XXX in the new code
2) update manual and tutorial
3) fix any doxygen errors
4) create a suggested prioritized roadmap on the wiki for future work on 
this part of the system
