[Ns-developers] ns-3.5 release candidates

hi,

There are no items on the table for merging for ns-3.5. I would like to
declare a freeze on ns-3-dev for features and, allow only bug fixes from
now until the release happens.

Planned release schedule:
  - monday 22nd: freeze features: only patches with bugs in the tracker
which are in the list below may be merged
  - wednesday 24th: release RC1
  - friday 26th: release RC2
  - tuesday 30th: release 3.5 !
 
Here are the bugs which are still in the pipeline for this release:
  - 63: add IpForward bool flag to Ipv4L3Protocol
  - 456: doxygen introspection output needs work
  - 508: additions to echo application (code for review)
  - 521: speed up global routing (patch for review)
  - 555, 595: dcf bugs (patches for review)
  - 559: tcp socket destruction (patch for review)
  - 563/565: stats patches (patches for review)
  - 569: tap bridge and VMs (patch for testing/review)
  - 578: zipf variable (patch tested/reviewed)
  - 579, 427, 426, 424: tcp bugs
  - 592: RouteOutput needs packet pointer
  - 599: Icmpv4Echo::Deserialize broken
  - 600: routing helper cleanup

I marked as P1 all the bugs from the above list which I consider
critical for this release: this means that, if we can't fix them, I will
consider delaying the release. Bugs which are not in this list will not
delay the release: they are nice-to-have only.

I plan to first focus on putting together patches for some of the above
bugs which are in the blocker list, and then, will attempt to merge 555
