Hi,

I am very interested in this work (synchronous berkeley socket API):

http://mailman.isi.edu/pipermail/ns-developers/2008-April/003912.html

What is it's status? Are there any plans for this functionality? I've
seen that the mathieu/ns-3-simu branch is 7 months old.

Also, if i wanted to hack on this code, i would have to merge this code
on ns-3-dev, right? I'm new to ns3 (and mercurial), so i have no idea
how much 7 months of history is...

My interest is in running real applications in the simulator. More
completelly, i'm thinking on integrating a Lua virtual machine, and
gluing the LuaSocket library to the ns3 sockets. (this is probably
meaningles to you all :) The result would be a platform for quickly
prototyping services that can be simulated or deployed with no changes.

Thank in advance,

Jorge
