I would support starting to merge Random Variables changes in now,
first, if they are now ready to go. However, I think we'll need to
consider how much can really go in by your Feb. 10 deadline without
slipping schedule. There are also a lot of things that have been
labeled as maintenance so I don't think that phase is going to feel
"long" (February is a short month :)
