I am flexible in this case.  Given that the late merge ends in about
two weeks, and that we have seen some information from you about tap,
AND that it is a "targeted feature", I would say that we could move
forward with merging if it is reviewable within a few days (say
early-mid next week).  One aim of these early deadlines, as I'm sure
you know, is to have concrete API everyone is okay with.

Is what you have API stable according to your liking?  If so, I
suggest we start reviewing it from a UI perspective as you check in
changes.  Your changes are being tracked in this tree:
