This paper describes an initial IPv6 implementation for ns-3.

Although initial pieces (IPv6 address) were merged in a previous ns-3
release, merge of the rest has been on hold until some IPv4 refactoring
in ns-3 was completed. I expect that the ns-3.5 release (June
timeframe?) will start to have more functional IPv6 models.
As far as I know, there is not an IPv6 model for ns-2, although models
of a few IPv6-specific protocols (e.g., Mobile IPv6) are available for
some ns-2 releases.
