[Ns-developers] ns-2 release plans

Since the last ns-2 release, I applied a few patches (most recently from 
Amir Habibi and Maxime de Roucy) to deal with gcc evolution, valgrind 
warnings, and the migration to Tcl/Tk version 8.5 on many distributions, 
as well as some SCTP model extensions.  I have heard from at least one 
contributor about interest in merging new models to ns-2 before the next 
release.  So, I'd like to suggest that would-be contributors post their 
code for review and possible merge in the month of January, and I will 
make a release after that code is merged if there are no major issues. 
Also, if there is a bug-fixing patch that has been previously posted and 
forgotten about, please remind me.
