Yes, you are right. I use improperly the term TXOP to intend:
the exchange of four frames:
AssocReq
Ack
AssocResp
Ack
is "atomic"?
However i'm persuasing that could be not atomic even if i don't
understand what standards intends when speak about "its response" (see
section 7.1.4 point a2)
