Duy,
The GSOC project idea for rate control is actually to port and validate
Minstrel. So yes, I expect applicants to consider this in their
proposal. Minstrel is also planned to become the default rate control
algorithm for 802.11 in Linux. So from a validation and comparison point
of view, I think it would be very worthwhile to have Minstrel in ns-3.
