Dear All,
News:
=====
I am going to be on vacation next week. Although officially not here, I will still send daily annoying messages, build release
candidates, and haunt your dreams if you break the release ;-)
The web site now points to a "silent" ns-3.2-RC2-bis release that fixes some bugs, but still will not run regression tests without
mercurial. Feel free to beat on this code with the understanding that you'll need hg to run the regressions.
Comments:
=========
There remain several issues. Please, please test all of your changes. Test everything you can think of. Test, test, fix and then
test some more. If you have spare energy, write more tests.
Bugs:
=====
As of Friday afternoon (PST), September 12, 2008, we have three P1 bugs filed against ns-3.2-RC2:
Bug 335 -- ./waf --regression no longer works without mercurial present
Status: Reopened. This still happens!
Bug 344 -- We need a python regression test
Status: We have no automagic way of knowing that python scripts really work.
This is not good.
Bug 345 -- We need nsc regression tests
Status: We have no automagic way of knowing that nsc really works.
This is not good.
Progress / Closed Bugs:
=======================
We have closed the following bugs relating to ns-3.2-RC1:
Bug 337 -- opt build fails in address.cc on Ubuntu 8.10
Status: deferred until ns-3.2.1 (hotfix when 8.10 is finalized)
Next Steps:
===========
I will post ns-3.2-RC3 on Monday, September 15, 2008.
The release of ns-3.2 is planned for Friday, September 19, 2008.
Regards,
-- Craig
