Dear All,

News:
=====

None.

Comments:
=========

Things are settling down. We have had a half-day of stability. If the
situation continues, I will release an ns-3.2-RC2-bis tomorrow to get some
(repaired) functionality out over the weekend for testing. The "strange"
name is to avoid scheduling confusion.

Bugs:
=====

As of Thursday evening (PST), 9/11 2008, we have one P1 bug filed against
ns-3.2-RC1:

Bug 337 -- opt build fails in address.cc on Ubuntu 8.10

           Status: new GCC optimizations in 4.3.2 have exposed a benign
error.
                    easily fixed, but may be downgraded to P3 and deferred.

Progress / Closed Bugs:
=======================

We have closed the following bugs relating to ns-3.2-RC1:

Bug 327 -- need 'conditional' regression tests
Bug 333 -- [wifi] does not seem to respect distance changes
Bug 335 -- ./waf --regression no longer works without mercurial present
Bug 336 -- optimized build doesn't compile on Ubuntu 8.10

Next Steps:
===========

I will post ns-3.2-RC3 on Monday, September 15, 2008.

The release of ns-3.2 is planned for Friday, September 19, 2008.

Regards,

-- Craig
