Hi.

Yes, I am aware we had agree cygwin would be supported and not mingw.
However I tend to like mingw environment better because it is closer to
native win32 thus allowing me to test a wider range of platforms (testing in
cygwin is not much different than testing on linux, just much slower and
painful).  I realize this is a personal interest and I hope I am not causing
too much burden on developers with my bug reports :-)

I am pretty happy to see mingw just build and run unit tests by making
problematic features just compiled out.  I am not asking anything to be
ported to the native win32 API.

I have never run regression tests on win32, mingw or cygwin, so I really
have no idea whether they are working or not.  I will try to find some time
for testing that soon.
