[Ns-developers] ns-2 release plans: call for items

It's been about 6 months since we released ns-2.33.  I would like to 
make a new release sometime soon, to address at least these issues:

1) the current allinone tarball does not seem to build on the 
forthcoming Ubuntu 8.10 release, and there appear to be some 
compatibility problems with Tcl/Tk 8.5 and 8.6 packages

2) there have been a number of bug fixes proposed (AODV, various 802.11 
fixes)

3) new features:
  - Michele Weigle is currently checking in Tmix
  - Sidney Doria has proposed Puma multicast additions
  - Marcello Caleffi has offered some DHT and AOMDV code

If people plan to either propose new items for merging to ns-2, other 
than the above, or to fix specific bugs, please respond to this message 
so I can consider some kind of a schedule for putting together a release.

If anyone would like to help with the ns-2 release process going 
forward, or to maintain any existing models, please contact me off list.
