[Ns-developers] GSOC & Optical Burst Switching Network patch port.

Hi all,


I need some information regarding GSOC application . I am Master student
from University of Massachusetts. I am currently working as a researcher for
optical networks group. It's been about 6 month i am using NS-2 project for
my simulations. Presently i am working on Split-TCP architecture for Optical
Burst Switching(OBS) network before that i worked on many casting  feature
for OBS network. I am using OBS patch for ns-2 which is very unorganized.
Are you guys are planning to implement OBS support in NS-3 in near future
?.


As far as my work with the open source goes. I have two project based on GPL
which are hosted  http://manrix.sf.net. One of the  project is the design of
microkernel based operating system with posix compliant. These days i am
reading about the ns-3 projects (taking some time away  from my studies).

By the way,  one of the project you guys  purposed  linux kernel network
stack integration for GSOC seems interesting.


I am confused whether i can purpose the OBS for GSOC or go  with the linux
kernel network stack integration project .
