Hi all,

As I mentioned to a few people, yesterday I gave a short introductory
presentation on ns-3 to a Distributed Systems class at UPenn. It's a
core graduate class being given the option of implementing several
algorithms in ns-3 for their final project; course website is at [1].
Boon Loo, the professor, is also thinking of changing the next edition
of his Networked Systems course to include implementing a few routing
protocols in ns-3.

In any event, the slides from yesterday are in the repository at [2]
if anyone is interested. In addition to the slides I also went
through modifying, compiling, & running a simulation, then bringing
the logs up in Wireshark. I basically took the mixed-wireless sim
from Tom's simutools tutorial but cut it down to just the ad-hoc wifi
backbone to make it shorter. People familiar w/ network simulation (a
few ns-2 users from the labs dropped in) seemed happy with the helper
API & impressed at bringing the data up in Wireshark right away and
being able to use pcap tools/libraries to work with it.

Thx!
