I think that we already integrated gustavo's code into ns-3-dev a long
time ago and that this patch is merely a patch to try to make that code
slightly more useful to a broader set of users. So, from this
perspective, I think that the patchset is pretty uncontroversial,
especially in light of gustavo's past track record with regard to bug
fixing and code maintenance.

Now, you raise another issue which is what the ns-3 project should
endorse as the 'official' default visualization helper tool. I don't
think that gustavo is proposing his code to be such a thing so, maybe
what we could do is ask gustavo to rework his patch to move the helper
code to the contrib directory (if it is not already the case) to avoid
getting into this discussion now.
