Dear All,

News:

ns-3.1-RC2 has been posted today (yay).
ns-3.1-RC3 is expected to be posted on Friday, June 27, 2008.

Bugs:

As of June 24, 2008, we have one P1 bug filed against ns-3.1-RC2:

----------

Bug 231 -- IP Address Confusion in Echo Applications

This is (IMHO) due to an improper handling of packet tags. There has been
some debate as to what to do about this bug on IRC (see the IRC log from
today). The symptom has been cured, but Craig thinks the underlying problem
remains and the checked-in fix is actually in the wrong place. Craig is
keeping this bug open until there is a resolution of the underlying problem
(see comments in tracker).

----------

Comments:

We should have David Evensky's tcp-2way.cc turned into a regression script
for RC-3, but I don't consider this a blocker for the release. I understand
it is almost ready, but wasn't quite there when RC2 was tagged and cloned.

Progress:

We have closed the following bugs in the past day:

Bug 217 -- Sample/regression program tcp-2way
Bug 233 -- XXX Remains in Attribute Documentation
Bug 235 -- Application DoDispose methods can be called ...

Regards,

-- Craig
