It is with great pain and suffering that I have to announce that 
Federico Maguolo died in a motorcycle accident. Federico was a long-time 
ns developer, he provided many contributions to ns2 and ns3, and he was 
the main developer of several ns2 extensions such as dei80211mr, 
nsmiracle, and the patch for dynamic libraries. I would like to remember 
him as a great friend, as well as an outstanding researcher who had a 
great devotion to precision and technical soundness, both in theoretical 
analysis and in software design and development.
