Greetings from your friendly neighborhood ns-3 release manager.

A couple of problems in the build and test environments of ns-3.1-RC1 have
been reported and fixed in an interim release. It turned out that
ns-3.1-RC1 in the MinGW environment did not build correctly and there was a
problem with getting correct regression trace files in non-Mercurial
environments.

No changes have been made to ns-3 proper, but both of these problems have
been fixed and a new tarball has been made available. If either of these
issues have affected you, you can find the latest tarball at

http://www.nsnam.org/releases/ns-3.1-RC1.5.tar.bz2

Again, no changes to the ns-3 code proper have been made, so there is no
need to upgrade unless you are trying to build in MinGW or need to run
regression tests in non-mercurial environments.

We are currently considering the timing and content of ns-3.1-RC2 since
there have been four new bugs reported (thanks to all who took the time to
test RC1).

We encourage everyone interested in ns-3 to download our release candidates
and try to uncover problems.

Again, thanks to everyone who is downloading and trying ns-3.1 release
candidates.
