The latest RC, ns-3.3-RC3, was posted tonight (Tuesday, December 9, 2008).

Comments:
=========

If I look at the rate at which P1 bugs are have been fixed and new P1 bugs
reported over the past couple of days; and I do a linear fit I can project
when ns-3.3 will be free of P1 bugs and ready for release.  As of tonight,
it seems that we are (still) on track for releasing ns-3.3 ... never.

The bug count is going in the wrong direction right now.  The goal was to be
at zero bugs by Friday.  Yes, Friday.  That would be this coming Friday --
you know, the Friday that is in three days.  Time is getting very short and
I'm going to begin using the S-word again unless we do some serious and
immediate bugfixing or rethinking about what P1 means at tomorrow's chat.

against ns-3.3-RC3:

Progress / Closed Bugs:

Bug 241 (trace sources not clearly documented) was closed;
Bug 407 (OLSR may select wrong interface in MID context) was deferred;
Bug 411 (OnOffApplication::OnTime does not work) was fixed;
Bug 412 (Extend number of template parameters in xxxCallback classes) was
deferred;
Bug 430 (Doxygen warnings creeping back into system) was fixed.

New Bugs:
=========

Bug 440 (Tutorial example third.cc no longer compiles, tutorial obsolete);
Bug 441 (double Time::GetSeconds() precision or rounding issue);
Bug 442 (The device trace sources in the system are not very well
documented);
Bug 444 (Inernet-stack trace sources not well documented).

Next Steps:
===========

The release of ns-3.3-RC4 is currently planned for Friday, December 12,
2008.
The final release of ns-3.3 is currently planned for Wednesday, December 17,
2008.
