[Ns-developers] NS-2 Naming Issue for SVN users with Mac OS X

Dear NS developers,

I am using ns-2.28 version over Mac OS X 10.4.9, and we tried to switch our
development environment from CVS to SVN recently. But we have noticed that
there are some naming issues with SVN (upper case and lower case) on a file
name.

(See: http://tortoisesvn.net/node/167)

SVN will generate an error message if a file name is same with only upper
and lower case differences. (e.g. configure.in.tcl and configure.in.Tcl)
This happens not only with Windows machines but also with Mac machines.

In ns-2.28 all-in-one version, it happens several times. (e.g.,
tclcl-1.16/conf/configure.in.Tcl
and tclcl-1.16/conf/configure.in.tcl) By this reason, we had to change some
of the original code to prevent the file name conflict.

I agree that this is not an NS problem but SVN bugs. However, it would still
be worth if NS developers would be aware of a matter like case sensitivity
issues with SVN.

Thanks,
Soo-Hyun
