Hi all,
Our monthly ns-3 development releases is available at the below location:
http://www.nsnam.org/releases/ns-3.0.9.tar.bz2

Please see this "getting started" page if you are new to ns-3:
http://www.nsnam.org/getting_started.html

The most significant changes are the addition of Mathieu's ns-3-wifi
code, and the change to the API related to Packet objects that was
extensively discussed on the list. From the release notes:

Release 3.0.9 (2007/12/15)
========================
    - A 802.11 model ported from Yans. This model supports:
        * a rather extensive PHY model
        * log-distance and friis propagation model
        * a simple set of rate control algorithms (ARF, Ideal,
          AARF, constant-rate)
        * adhoc and infrastructure mode (beacon+assoc)
    - Use smart pointer for Packet in the APIs
    - A new contrib directory with helper classes:
      EventGarbageCollector, Gnuplot
    - Tracing support for Applications
    - many bugs fixed

The next release is scheduled for mid-January. The next major module
planned for merging is the TCP code, which we felt was not sufficiently
ready for this release; we'll try again for January. At the developers
meeting, we agreed on the need to finalize the APIs and the main piece
that is still missing is the set of APIs relating to large simulation
topologies, so expect to see some list discussion on that topic. We'll
also progress the tutorial and the manual during the next release cycle.

- Tom
