Szymon,
I looked at your patch and tested it and found that it changed the 
validation output:
validate overall report: some portable tests failed:
      ./test-all-wireless-shadowing ./test-all-wireless-lan-aodv 
./test-all-wireless-lan-newnode ./test-all-WLtutorial
some non-portable tests also failed:
      ./test-all-wireless-tdma

so I am reluctant to put it into the release branch at this date.  I 
also thought this would get picked up by Ilango's 802.11 work but seems 
not to be the case yet.

I'll add it to the priority list for a post-release checkin.  If you can 
confirm by inspection that the changed validation test output is more 
correct, that will expedite things.
