Is your patch correct?  I see that you patched XCP and then the XCP test suite seems to be taking errors.

Francesco Gringoli is also working on patches to the current snapshot to 10.4-- once those are available, I plan to add to the repository.  We then should have a new release relatively soon, if only to handle gcc-4 and OS X support.
