It do not think it is possible to connect wired and wireless nodes. This
is independent of my code. I believe it is already the case today with
the existing ns-2 802.11 code.  If you can show me an existing script
which does this, then, maybe we can figure out a way to do it with our
new 802.11 code.

no. I believe that it is because of the way ns-2 is designed.

no, I don't think so.

We don't have much interest in ns-2 itself. I think we want to integrate
in ns-3.
