thinking more about it, adding a TxEnd event on the PHY would actually require
a major refactoring of the PHY state machine. This would require a lot of time
and effort, which unfortunately I don't have at the moment.

So, I've opened the new bug 1028 to tackle this refactoring.

As for bug 555 (this bug), if any temporary fix exists which is not too ugly, I
would be fine with pushing it. Otherwise, bug 555 will need to wait a lot of
time until 1028 is fixed.
