The $20 price is for mac purchases on or after October 8th or a G5 purchase at anytime. Also There is an education price of $69.00. I believe action will purchase copies for ISI folks after it is released. At least that is what they did with Jaguar (MacOS X 10.2) - John On Thursday, October 9, 2003, at 11:17 AM, Bob Lindell wrote: > Apple Computer has Just announced the Price point for the Panther > Software. It was to give information about the Panther release. The last part about the G5 is not me. I should have removed that before I posted the Panther info. Some customers say they sent their laptops in for repair, only to see the spots reappear when the systems came back. A statement from Apple says: "The new 15-inch PowerBook has been a big hit with customers since its introduction last month. However, some customers are reporting the appearance of faint, white spots on their displays after using the system for a short period of time, and Apple is investigating these reports right now. Any customers experiencing this problem should contact AppleCare." (San Jose Mercury News 31 Oct 2003) http://www.siliconvalley.com/mld/siliconvalley/7148746.htm
