Dear Colleagues:

15-18 in Atlanta, Ga. at the Westin Buckhead.
I hope you will circulate this to your colleagues in academia,
government and private industry who may not be on the dgOnline mailing

I'm pleased to report this year that we have received nearly 100
submissions of research papers, system demos, posters and Project
Highlights, which are being reviewed by our program committee:
http://dgrc.org/dgo2005/papers#committee .
This year's Digital Government conference will have an extraordinarily
full program, kicking off on Sunday, May 15 with two International
Workshops:
- "Operational e-Democracy Research: Cross-National, Multi-Method,
Interdisciplinary Studies of Digital Government"
http://dgrc.org/dgo2005/program/workshops/shulman_wrapped.jsp
- "Digital Government Integration & Systems Evaluation"
http://dgrc.org/dgo2005/program/workshops/macintosh_wrapped.jsp
You are invited to submit white papers to these two workshops before
Feb. 18, in accordance with the submission guidelines laid out on the
two above-linked pages. More workshops are under development.
The technical program includes a keynote address by Neil Eisner,
assistant general counsel at the U.S. Department of Transportation. Mr.
Eisner is one of the architects of the federal EDOCKET system, and has
done extensive work in the field of e-rulemaking.
For the first time, the conference will also offer tutorials by Digital
Government researchers on topics of interest to the academic,
government and private-industry communities. While more tutorials are
under development, these two will be offered on Wednesday afternoon,
May 18:
- "Building Working Partnerships: Government and the Academy"
http://dgrc.org/dgo2005/program/tutorials/shulman_wrapped.jsp
- "Data Confidentiality and Statistical Dislosure Limitation"
http://dgrc.org/dgo2005/program/tutorials/karr_wrapped.jsp
If you have any questions on the conference or the program, please do
not hesitate to contact me directly. We look forward to seeing you in
Atlanta.
Sincerely yours,
m
