[Csci551-talk] Sample Project A

I have not been able to build the provided project A code on linux or solaris.  Some background: the timers API and test-app work fine, but doing a make all or a make of any subproject gives syntax errors, parse errors, and 'ISO C++ forbids' errors in every file.  Has anyone done this successfully?  If you would suggest edits to the makefile, compiler flags, or a build order that might work, it would be very helpful.
