It also provides a forum for the researchers, developers, and users in Asia Pacific to present current and emerging work. By exchanging their experiences on how to develop Grid technology and application, this Symposium would provide the Grid community with invaluable insights for future collaboration. The ISGC will include a series of tutorial, plenary lectures, oral presentations and regional reports. The Symposium itself would focus on Grid core technology, Grid architecture, applications on High Energy Physics and Bioinformatics. Grid application development, installation, testbed, and collaboration among the universities would also be discussed. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to: 1. Grid Middleware 2. Applications on Bio-informatics 3. Applications on High Energy Physics 4. Health/Medical Grid 5. HEP / LCG 6. e-Science 7. Semantic Grid 8. Data Grid 9. Grid Services 10. SHIBBOLETH Shibboleth, a project of Internet2/MACE , is developing architectures, policy structures, practical technologies, and an open source implementation to support inter-institutional sharing of web resources subject to access controls. In addition, Shibboleth will develop a policy framework that will allow inter-operation within the higher education community. Key concepts within Shibboleth include: Federated Administration. The origin campus (home to the browser user) provides attribute assertions about that user to the target site. A trust fabric exists between campuses, allowing each site to identify the other speaker, and assign a trust level. Origin sites are responsible for authenticating their users, but can use any reliable means to do this. 10.
